What I said

(Two different guys)
I told him about my recent relationship.
I told him I had to end it cause of distance
Then he asked me, "What, you don't think distant relationships can work?"

I told him, "In some ways, but with him, I wasn't ready for a committment"
Scratch that. That's what I wish I told him.

Instead I said, "In some ways, I don't think it could"
Did I do something wrong?
